Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon

Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon was built in 1959 by the Dictator Salazar to prove that Lisbon could do luxury as well as any other European capital – and this property really proves the point. Designed by award-winning architect Pardal Monteiro, the building is a city landmark.

Of the 282 rooms and four luxury suites, all but 10 have private terraces with views over Lisbon.

The Varanda Restaurant spills out onto the pretty terrace in summer and is renowned for its lunch buffet and for being a favorite hotspot of politicians and celebrities. The gourmet cuisine includes some of the freshest and most delicious seafood dishes in the city.

The spa is the finest in the city, with its 18-meter interior pool, a gym, a sauna, a Turkish bath, a Pilates studio, and an outer 400-meter track at the top of the hotel.
